I began my studies in Biology but my scientific curiosity led me to change at more stronger and powerful studies as the Biochemistry. When I finished my degree I joined at the laboratory of cell biology in the Institute of Food Technology (INTA) of the University of Chili. In his cell biology lab, I learned and contributed at some aspect of the cancer signaling and cancer malignity. Later I continued my work and academic experience in Europe. I did my Master in Pharmacology in Bilbao Spain. Later, I continued my Doctor’s degree in Biomedicine in the University of Valladolid with the supervision of Dr. Javier García-Sancho and Dra. María Teresa Alonso. I have worked five years in his prestigious research center the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics (IBGM). I have a strong background in physiology, cell signaling, calcium signaling and molecular biology. Throughout my career I have acquired knowledge in various scientific disciplines useful for laboratory work such as genetic manipulation, imaging, analysis of proteins, working with animals and cell cultures of many types. I have worked in various laboratories in South America and Europe and I have acquired the value of teamwork. I developed my analytical thinking and the ability to seek answers to the unavoidable difficulties of scientific work. Currently I’m working in the CNRS in France in the laboratory of Dr. Lecrec and Moreau in cancer stem cells, gliobastome and calcium signal field.
